You don’t need to be an expert to come along, but you do need to participate. BarCamps (and StixCamps) are about collective learning and sharing of ideas. You don’t need to give a presentation; there are other ways of participating: share your ideas, question presenters when you have some input or require clarification, get together with people outside of the presentations and brain storm solutions to problems, and so on.
